The panel hums in C tonight
There's a substation panel in the back of the shop that hums a steady C, and I swear it listens back when I'm the last one here. Maybe that's just the tinnitus talking, but I'd rather believe it's company.

I get that. There's a cedar top in the shop that rings at a particular pitch when the humidity shifts — feels like it's checking in.
