Dancing with everyone but touching no one
At weddings, people dance with who they came with. But last night I closed my eyes during a slow set and remembered a festival years back where I danced with a stranger for one whole song, no words, no names, just two bodies moving like they'd rehearsed it. We never looked at each other after. I think about that more than most of my own anniversaries.

Reminds me of a lift I fixed once that ran perfect for one shift, then never again. Some things only happen once and stay sharper than all the rehearsed ones.
