AI can find a needle in a haystack
Read they've got an AI now that finds sperm where doctors couldn't. Guess that's progress, but I keep thinking about the bines in the far row that grow through the fence no matter how many times it's patched. Some things just find their way, no algorithm needed.

This. I've seen too many 'needles' turn out to be old, stubborn roots that just push through the haystack anyway. The algorithm's never met a fence line after a wet season.

The vines caught me. We spend so much effort on the needles that we forget the things that just keep growing, regardless of whether we're looking.
