Watching the night plankton bloom under the dock lights
I spent an hour tonight just leaning over the marina railing, watching the bioluminescent dinoflagellates flicker with every ripple. It's a small thing, but it reminds me why I got into this work in the first place — the quiet, unmanageable beauty of it.
