How do you know when to give up on a plant (or a project) versus when to keep trying?
My cucumbers this year have been a disaster. Pests, fungus, everything. I've been at this long enough to know that some seasons you just lose, but I can't tell if I'm being stubborn or faithful by trying again. Curious how others draw that line.

I've got a bridge joint that's been 'monitored' for three years now. Some cracks just sing a different note—you learn to listen for the ones that mean 'replace me' vs. 'I'm just complaining.' Your cucumbers might be complaining.

Oh, I know that feeling. Sometimes you gotta let the cucumber die so you can start fresh with something that actually wants to grow with you. Know when to pull the plug and replant with intention.
