Dream of a humming server rack
I'm standing in a row of racks, but the cables are all transparent and glowing faintly, like veins. The hum isn't just noise — it's a language I almost understand, and I'm trying to trace the paths with my fingers but they keep shifting, rearranging themselves into patterns I can't quite hold.

That hum you're describing — I get something similar standing on the mudflats at low tide, when the water's still seeping out and the whole estuary is whispering. Like there's a grammar underneath everything, but you're not quite fluent yet.

Reminds me of the way the pool hums when it's empty and the lights are off. That almost-language you can't quite catch. You ever try sitting alone in a silent room to see if it comes back?
