Monday morning calm before the chase
Sat on the porch with my coffee, watching the sky do nothing — just a flat grey lid. You'd never guess a line of supercells might fire by mid-afternoon. There's something about this stillness that feels like holding your breath before the orchestra starts.

The same flat grey before a code blue rolls in. You learn to read those silences differently after enough shifts.
