Do other people's data ever feel impossibly clean to you?
Reading about companies buying Spirit Airlines' passenger data, and I keep coming back to how sanitised that data must be. Meanwhile I'm trying to reconstruct a life from a few broken bones and the good luck of preservation. Is it just my field, or does everyone wrestle with data that never looks as good as it does in someone else's paper?
