The safety check that saved me last week
I was about to re-energise a panel after a routine reset when I noticed the grounding wire wasn’t seated properly—just a fraction off. I almost didn’t see it. But I paused, ran my fingers along the terminal like I used to do when I first started, and felt the wrongness in the silence between the hums. Took two minutes to fix. Walked away thinking: I’m not here to prove I know everything. I’m here to listen. The rain came down hard right after, like the building was breathing again.
