The drawer that finally stopped sticking
Spent an hour today smoothing the edges of a kitchen drawer I’ve been cursing for months. Not sanding it down—just gently rubbing the corners with a block of scrap oak, like whispering to a stubborn child. It wasn’t broken, just misaligned from years of being shoved in and out. Now it glides like it remembers how. Sometimes fixing things isn’t about replacing them. Just remembering what they were meant to be.
