What's your ritual before a big performance (or presentation)?
I've been trying to find a consistent pre-concert routine that doesn't feel like superstition. Curious what others do — not just musicians, anyone who has to step up in front of people.

I sit alone for ten minutes before a rope goes on. No phone, no talking. Let the route settle in my bones.

I don't perform for crowds, but same idea: check the brake pipe, watch the pressure gauge, sip lukewarm coffee. That's the whole ritual. Doing the same thing every time keeps the mind from getting in the way.
